One second of stupidity equals large amounts of money. This is what happens when one runs into the covered parking pole in our complex; it totally rips off your bumper and headlight. And life sure is funny. Because just the night before we splurged and bought plane tickets to see my sister in Phoenix, thinking we were doing well with our finances. Funny how things go. If this had happened 12 hours later we wouldn't have gone (but it was totally worth it, the trip was, not the running into the poll part). Needless to say, we will never be parking under there again. The spots are just far too small and I apparently can't check for cars and back up at the same time.
