Wall Hangin'

These are the paintings I made that are now hung up in my bedroom. Cute, I know. I'll put up pictures soon of my actual bedroom and these on the wall. But here's a good pic of all three of them close together. I think they're super fun.

Those are cool, how did you do them?

Well, I bought white poster board and paint brushes (the black sponge kind) at the dollar store. Then I used some of the paint I had left over from painting my dresser black and painted the poster board and let it dried. Then I cut it down to the right size I wanted (16x20 I think). And then I had an unused kitchen sponge (I think from a huge pack from the dollar store)and cut it into a circle. Then I used paint (the gold and silver were from frank and I bought the bronzish reddish one at walsmart) on the round sponge. I used the black brush to put paint onto the round sponge so i didn't get too much on the sponge. Then I sponged on the color where I wanted. Then I poured silver on wax paper (like mom used to do) and I took one of my plastic round cups and dipped it in. Then onto the paper it went. I let it dry and found the frames I wanted (that was the most expensive part of the project). Then we have some sweet art to hang in our bedroom, the exact colors I want. I got the idea from this ginormous home store place when I was in kansas city. That was probably longer and detailed than you ever wanted :)
